Mayor Reina has been contacted by Jersey Central Power & Light advising that they have introduced their “24/7 Power Center”, the industries leading online map that delivers fast and accurate outage information to your desktop, smart phone and mobile devices. You can find this map at http://outages.firstenergycorp.com/nj.html.

This map features the following:

• Color Snapshots to highlight areas without power in JCP&L’s service territory. 
• Zoom-in information to pinpoint outages by border of the city, town or village- no longer just by zip code. 
• Easy use with smart phones. 
• A summary table to quickly see county or town outage data.

JCP&L encourages residents to report power outages in their area. The more customers report outages- either on the JCP&L website or by calling 888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877) - the quicker they can locate the cause of the outage and correct the issue to restore power.
