Public works and contractor trucks have been out plowing township streets since approximately 1pm. We currently have 67 pieces of equipment out removing the snow. We again remind residents to remove ALL obstacles from roadways, this includes vehicles. Any vehicles left in the roadways that present a hazard may be subject to tow. Removing these obstacles not only allows as much access as possible for the plows to effectively remove the snow but also ensures that emergency response vehicles can get through safely if needed. We respectfully ask for your cooperation and patience during this process. Thank you

The Jackson Municipal Court has been canceled for today. Those scheduled to appear will be notified by mail of a new date.

Mayor Michael Reina and the Jackson Township Office of Emergency Management would like to inform the residents of an impending snow storm expected to impact our area late this evening into tomorrow. Snow accumulations expected to range from 4 to 8 inches across most of the region, with up to 10 inches possible in southeastern Pennsylvania and central and southern New Jersey, as per the latest National Weather Service models. This snow event is expected to bring heavier snow than previous storms this season.

We ask for your assistance in removing all obstaclesfrom the roadways, such as vehicles, sports equipment, garbage and recycling cans, etc., to allow the Department of Public Works as much access as possible while plowing, this will also ensure that emergency response vehicles can get through safely.  Any vehicles left in the roadway that present a hazard may be subject to tow. Residents and business owners are reminded that the Township Code requires property owners to clear sidewalks of snow and ice in a timely manner after a storm.

For your safety and others, residents are advised to stay at home if possible.  If travel is necessary please use extreme caution and be sure your cell phone is fully charged.
