The Special Services Division is headed up by Captain Andrew Cheney who began his career with the Ocean County Corrections Department then the NJSP Alcohol Beverage Control bureau before moving to the Jackson Township Police Department in 1990. He is the Commanding Officer of the Jackson Police Honor Guard and is a yearly participant in the Special Olympics Torch Run and the Police Unity Tour. His responsibilities as the division head of Special Services include the following; OPRA requests, records management and grant applications as well as assisting in community based functions.
Assisting him in the operations of the Special Services division is Sergeant John Convery who is a 14 year veteran of the department. Sgt. Convery is in charge of computer and records maintenance, DARE, and community relations.
