Our Ceramics program runs from October to June. Sessions are held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month from 6 to 8 pm. Our clients enjoy painting and glazing different pieces (selected by holidays or just for fun). The clients are able to take home their completed pieces that showcase just how hard they worked, giving them a sense of pride and accomplishment.
Our Chorale Group practices throughout the year with performances. This program is open to children, teens and adults with disabilities. This group meets Wednesday evenings from 6 to 7 pm from October to December.
Throughout the year the commission hosts dances and parties as a way for our clients and their families to join together in fun and fellowship. These gatherings are held for different holidays and are open to all children, teens and adults with disabilities. The focus is always on fun!
Contact the commission at 732-928-3334 for our schedule of dances and parties!

Challenger Soccer is a co-ed recreation program that enables children and adults with physical and/or developmental disabilities to enjoy the benefits of team sports participation in an adapted environment. Athletes take part in all aspects of the game according to their own skills and abilities. Every athlete gets a chance to kick, dribble, pass and score.
Each of the Challenger players will have a Buddy that will shadow him/her and will help with encouragement and assistance when needed. Buddy volunteers are typically high school students.

Therapeutic horseback riding is offered twice a year (an 8-class session in the spring and fall) and open only to Commission clients on a rotating basis.
Therapeutic riding imparts physical, emotional and mental rewards. Working with horses develops self-esteem, concentration, patience and confidence. Physically, it relaxes and stimulates unused muscles and joints, builds muscle tone, and improves strength and coordination. Mentally and emotionally, the horse becomes a friend and teacher needed to build interpersonal skills among people.
