The Traffic Safety Bureau is now a part of the Special Services division and is currently staffed by three police officers, several Class II Special Law Enforcement Officers, and one clerk. The unit is overseen by Sergeant Andrea Falzarano.
Primary Function
Through education, enforcement and engineering, the Traffic Safety Bureau’s primary function is to promote safe driving habits and safe road conditions for residents, commuters, and visitors of the township.
Daily Responsibilities
On a daily basis, members of the Traffic safety Bureau are tasked with the responsibilities of conducting traffic enforcement, conducting checks of road construction and reviewing plans for future construction and road improvement projects. Members of this specialized unit have received countless hours of intensive training to investigate the causation of serious or fatal motor vehicle crashes and in mitigating traffic related hazards.
