Curbside Bulky waste may be placed at the curb up to 48 hours before your scheduled pick up. Residents should place items neatly and piles should be no larger than 4-foot by 4-foot by 16-foot.
Dark plastic bags are not acceptable. Hazardous items and construction debris may not be placed curbside. Small pieces of broken toys, light bulbs, household broken glass, etc. should be placed in your regular garbage.
Acceptable items are:
- Pool covers
These items must be generated by the homeowner. Bulky waste pickup is not for cleaning out an entire house by a landlord.

Open to Jackson Residents ONLY - Residents ID will be required
Residents Means residing In The Home
Guidelines for scheduled curbside Bulk, Brush and Leaf Pick up
Bulky: Neatly placed curbside 24 hrs prior to the scheduled pick up date in a 4'X4'X8' pile. Bilk piles must be accessible.
Mattresses and Cushions must be covered
Brush: Place loose along curb in accessible piles
During Bulky, Brush and Leaf Pick Up, We will not take:
- Things in Cardboard Boxes
- Construction Debris
- Hazardous Waste
- Plastic Bags
- Paint, etc...
Bulky Waste: Furniture, Mattress and/or Box Spring, Tables, Chairs, Lawn Mower, carpet, Washer, Dryer, Fridge/Freezer (doors removed), Exercise Equip, Used Motor Oil (5 gal)
Electronics: TVs, Computers, Printers, Monitors, Fax Machine.
Recycling: Commingled recycling items
Rigid Plastics: Kiddies Sandbox, Kitchen, Grill, Slides, Log Cabin etc...
No Commercial Vehicles of any type will be permitted on the site.
Other Mobile Parks May Call DPW for Information
Limit three (3) trips per day. 6'X8' or smaller Trailers only. Cardboard must be broken down to 3' X 3' all packaging materials removed. Hover board batteries must be removed and ready for inspection. You will be rejected with black bags. You may remove the matter from the bags and return to the site. Two (2) forms of acceptable "ID", Drivers License or Tax Bill only. This site is for Jackson Residents only! You must be in the vehicle if dumping at this site. This site is not for emptying a home. You must hire a Dumpster from a company to empty your home.

We accept the following from residents:
Brush: Tree parts, twigs, branches (6"W X 6'L)
Leaves: Loose leaves, Christmas Trees
We Do Not Accept Grass, Dirt, Sand or Root Balls
No Hazardous Waste or Bags
From Dec 26 - Jan 31 Christmas Trees are accepted at the following location:
- Johnson Park
- Camp Joy
- Woodlane Park
- Jackson State Forest (Putnam Park)
Trees should be piled at the entrance, all decorations must be removed, after Jan 31 Bring all Christmas Trees to the Compost Site Only.
Construction Debris Voucher
Each Household is entitled to two (2) construction debris vouchers per year, (no fee for vouchers). Proof of residency is required! Vouchers are for the purpose of disposing the remaining construction debris from a house project such as: wood, doors, windows, sheet rock, roofing, sidings, fencing, tub, toilet, tiles sink, cabinets, carpet. Vouchers can be obtained at the Jackson Department of Public Works, 10 Don Connor Blvd. Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm (if you still have additional debris, you may go to the Ocean County landfill located at 2498 Rt 70, Manchester NJ, Tel # 732-323-8528 of Mazza Recycling, 3230 Shaft Road, Tinton Falls, NJ Tel # 732-922-9292, Minimal Fees at the site.
